Jerusalem trip (not mine)

am in DD with dad toady. yusara and najwa went to jerusalem. originally, dad and i and najat were going but no car way found (supposedly). i dont care i didn't really want to go. i will go with dad and najat tomorrow.

lazy day. we slept alot.
i was so tired yesterday. P. Monir is back and I'm concerned he's not as enthused about me as before. that's OK. also i will be going to Cyprus on 12-15 to be with Elie.

will come back and renew my visa that way


Mom sent me a message that she missed my birthday beacause she has so many appointemnts with rick. that made me feel guilty

Had some of dads friends come by yesterday - man and wife. they bragged up and down about hteir kids and grandkids, which is OK. I think eveyrone does. but one thing they said that bothers me and everyone says is "Everything from Allah is so wonderful.." it so easy to say that when you're not hte one suffering.

I suppose there is a Jobesque element to that saying "Though He slay me yet will I trust Him."

I'm just wondering who should be the one to say it. the sufferer or the friends of the sufferer

I am thinking alot about Job these days.

Najat came by. Not so bad a day. Im not feeling that bad right now. around 430 we can go sit outside

I wonder about this time. God plans everything. The Bible says a mans steps are ordered by the Lord. So my being here can't be a mistake. It's been really fun being here in spite of the challenges. I got to preach a lot and I am a little bit of a celebrity here. Was recognized in the Church of the Holy Sepluchre and the Church of the Nativity. Got to see Fadi, Wael, Sandrene, Ludi, Juju's wedding (gave 200 shekels). Saw George who came to DD. Saw Rami and Shukri and family. Have had great impact I feel at the churches.

Dad seems happy I'm here.

Dad is the same Dad. He just is slower now and you can't really understand him. He is completely dependent which he never was. I wonder what it must be like -- the humiliation -- of having us give him a bath, etc. What is must be like. Do you feel embarrassment? Do you get used to it? Do you just push the feelings down for survival sake?

Zechariah Day at Holy Sepulcre

A tradition I am finding is going to the Church of the Holy Seplucre on Thursdays and reading a particular passage of scripture. The first was the four crucifxiion accounts. The second was the resurrection accounts. Last night it was Zechariah Ch. 11-14 and the prophecies about Jerusalem. It was closed so I sat outside with the pilgrims. One woman was angry that the church as closed and the pilgrims were locked out side. Another guy was being witnessed too, I think. I am amazed taht with all the wealth of Cristendom that his church is in such disrepair. It's old and compared to the main holy sites of other religions seems so old. Always scaffolding and repairing stuff going on. 

Ramallah Piper

Preached in Ramleh on end of the world. Spent night at Michael's and came I home.

I bought a flute from this guy a few weeks. ago and recorded him and posted it on facebook. him playing flute in ramallah. his flutes are made in bethlehem.

came home after noon and had lunch with Dad and Najwa. Don't know why Yusra seems to want to sit by me. Lord  Jesus touch her and open her eyes and heart to your love

Juju's Dancing

Preached at Chruch this morning about prophecies -- very well received -- then I went to Bethlehem with Michael and family and went to wedding. Saw Magdy and Rema and then saw FAdi and Sandrene. Good reunion and beautiful wedding in the Church of Nativity.

As soon as I entered, a monk took me  aside and asked if I was on TV. He thanked me so much for what I do and said he really appreciated what we do.

Later found out that in Ramallah many women who get cable ask for Father Zakaria's station.

Monday, Monday

 Stayed at home mostly with Dad and Najwa. I spoke with Naj. about not htinking its right everyone wants me to stay here for a year. she said ihmaydi is coming -- not sure when. i'm glad i got it out. it felt bad.
dad was OK. The dr. came by and did exercises it was good.
the next day dad was walking a lot better

About grapes:

there must be some chemical inside them that makes them turn purple when they mature and also makes them turn sweet

almost all grapes on dads front dalia are done but I found out there is another one in the back that i didn't know about

Miracle Weekend

I went to Ramallah and had a hankering to go to Jerusalem. When I got on Jerusalem bus, I found there were two seats empty though the whole bus was full. I went to Jerusalem and no one was at church. I went to Holy Sepulchre again:

While I was there, a guy saw me from far away and came up to me and shook my hand saying he sees me all the time with Z. Then I went out and was going in direction of Austrian Hospice when Reem saw me and called out. Ended up going to spend night at Bassem's house and then in the morning I went to Bassme's store and took key back. Sat and had good time with Bassme a few hours and then went to Ash.... Had good time with Sim. Went swimming in sea. Then spoke at meeting the next day. There were six peoplle,

Next Day went and spent night in Metropole hotel in Jerusalem, not bad. Then went to Ramallah and spoke about Pharaoh's four offers to Moses. Great reaction.
